About Happily Adapting
Solo Travel is one of the most rewarding, exciting and personally developmental things anyone can ever do. New friends, new locations, new experiences and plenty to smile about. But, there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes. While social media might show the highlights, realistically, travel can be scary, lonely and draining.

Happily Adapting is designed to highlight beautiful, cultural places around the world, plus the friends and photos that come attached. But also to in depth explore the effects on social, mental and physical health that travel has as well as how to overcome those obstacles when they arise.
This is more than just a travel blog to show off the instagrammable side of a travel lifestyle (although i am prone to posing now and again), I aim to express highlights, lowlights and everything in between.Reading along, you will find real world information, travel hacks, favourite spots, the side of travel you don’t see on social media and important discussions around how to maintain physical and mental health while living a travel lifestyle.
About Me

Hi I’m Liam,
Just another classic Australian traveller with a passion for learning, experiencing, socialising and a spontaneous nomadic lifestyle.
Born and bred in Melbourne Australia, I have completed a degree in Exercise Science and worked for myself as a personal trainer for my adult life, using every spare minute and dollar to travel and explore as much as possible.
Eventually, a few months each year of exploring the world no longer seemed enough and I inevitably started working on plans to quit my industry and look to more of a full time travelling lifestyle.
In a true stroke of comedically poor timing, I decided to quit my job and buy a one way ticket to travel the world in March 2020, which didn’t eventuate due to a certain viral event which I won’t mention..
Although it felt like bad luck at the time, it opened up a new world of opportunities for me that I never could have imagined.
Due to being unable to leave the country during the pandemic, I spent the following 2 years exploring all over my home country of Australia, visiting 7 states, meeting incredible people, living in different locations and embracing experiences that I may never have had otherwise.
Now, more than 2 and a half years further along, I am finally back exploring on an international scale with no set plan and ready to take the opportunities that come my way. I have been in Europe since October 2022 and am currently based out of Central London!
Starting a travel blog is something that I have done to share my travel experiences, tips, ideas and support with anyone who is interested. I aim to provide a genuine, friendly and BS free experience in my writing.
Anyone that knows me, knows I’m a huge advocate for embracing spontaneity and adventure as well as promoting finding a happy balance when it comes to both physical and mental health.
Encouraging friends and followers to embrace opportunities and maximise happiness has always been what makes me the happiest.
By sharing my experiences with a wider platform my objective is to inspire, encourage and spread positivity towards nailing that lifestyle balance, exploring what the world has to offer and making the most of every opportunity.
Always feel free to reach me directly via my social links or email. Much love!
